About Us

SNAPforSeniors is a data and technology services company specializing in provider network management and the development of integrated search and networking applications. Our service platform includes detailed information on over a quarter million providers and is used by clients in three major categories:

Commercial Licensees: Organizations that wish to source the best and most current information on providers in key categories for internal or consumer-facing use can license our data through a data licensing agreement. We offer hosting and website development for major commercial partners as well.

Website publishers: Website owners that wish to integrate high-quality provider data into their website can access SNAPforSeniors data in several ways including direct licensing, partnered licensing or affiliate co-branding.

Agencies/Organizations: Our not-for-profit and government partners qualify for special use licenses and publishing programs. These arrangements may also include the licensing of special use content developed by SNAPforSeniors to enrich and enhance the consumer user experience through tools, checklists, and decision support applications.

SNAPforSeniors manages numerous large-scale commercial web portals with data licenses on its enterprise platform and has a national reputation for data and service excellence. Today our operations encompass a broad array of data gathering, profiling and user interface development initiatives. SNAPforSeniors is headquartered in Seattle, WA.

William (Bill) Derrick, CEO

Bill Derrick is a highly accomplished executive with deep management, operations and technology expertise that includes more than 20 years of experience leading management teams, key operations and IT functions for global companies including Getty Images, Global Market Insite (GMI), NetReflector, Corixa Corporation, and LexisNexis Applied Discovery.

Bill has earned consistent acclaim for his ability to guide the success of high-volume online/web-based/ 24x7x365 operating data and technical environments. He has deep experience in a wide range of industry sectors/verticals including: healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, legal services, market research, eCommerce and digital content distribution, enterprise software and middleware, and technology consulting. Bill earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his MBA at Pace University in New York.

 

Cheryl lsen, CMO

Cheryl lsen, CMO

For the past 10 years Cheryl has consulted with companies as their on-call CMO and contracts with her network of highly talented marketing, PR and social media professionals to deliver bottom-line results. Cheryl also writes a column called Executive Insights for the Puget Sound Business Journal and serves on several Boards.

Before founding lsen and Company, Cheryl served as Vice President of Marketing for VitaiCom, based in Irvine, CA, where she helped to orchestrate a marketing turnaround prior to the company's acquisition by GE Health Systems. Earlier, as a Senior Director of Corporate Communications for Seattle-based PHAMIS Inc., Cheryl helped introduce the concept of personalized electronic medical records to the healthcare industry, and supported the company's IPO and eventual merger with IDX Systems (now GE). Earlier she held marketing management positions at TRW, Inc., The Interface Group, and VLSI Technology.

Cheryl has a B.A. in Journalism and Marketing from San Diego State University. She is married and has three children.

Ralph has a distinguished background in software development and senior technical management. For the past 6 years, Ralph has managed the design, development, and IT operations while working to create an award winning service platform for transitional care information services. Before joining SNAPforSeniors, Ralph was a Technical Advisor to Iventa Corporation where he designed and developed numerous high profile, high traffic, consumer facing e-commerce properties. Earlier Ralph was the portal technology manager with ContentGuard, a digital rights management joint venture between Microsoft and Xerox Corporation, where he was awarded international and U.S. patents in electronic publishing and digital rights management. Ralph also managed Bill Gates’ Corbis Corporation's digital image search product and went on to design and develop the Experience Music Project's digital asset management system for Microsoft Co-founder Paul Allen. Ralph is a member of the Microsoft IT Advisory Council and member of SMPTE, Society of Motion Picture Technical Engineers.

Ralph is a passionate advocate of non-profit social causes. His outreach work includes, organizing and performing in viral social media events including The Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease Flash Mob, spokesmodel for Transitions Global, a leading aftercare facility for survivors of sexual exploitation in Cambodia, and performing with Michael Jackson’s Thrill The World organization, raising money for charities such as Children’s Hospital and Japan’s earthquake survivors.

 

Lisa Biermann, Vice President of Operations

Since joining SNAPforSeniors Lisa has supported a broad scope of work including data collection in new verticals and provider outreach campaigns at both the local and national level. As a result she has built relationships with top management at numerous large national chains. As the administrator for SNAP CRM system, she spearheaded a major initiative to extend tiered client access to the database and developed all associated training and support materials. She works collaboratively with marketing and product development teams to collect and analyze user feedback in order to improve existing products or recommend new ones. Prior to joining SNAPforSeniors, Lisa worked as VP of Operations and Customer Service for DUX Area, a manufacturer of environmental technologies, where she built a support center from the ground up including hiring, training and infrastructure management. Lisa is an active member of the Technology Committee and the Board of Advisors for Hamilton Friends, a non-profit organization aimed at developing young leaders who have a passion for public service and academic excellence. AHFA uses her expertise to guide decisions around technology purchases, data integration with their CRM system, and development of custom applications.
