Search by Location
Enter a location or facility name in the Quick Search form on your left to begin your search.
You can use any of the following:
• Full Street Address: e.g. 600 University St, Seattle, WA
• City: e.g. Seattle, WA or Denver, Colorado
• ZIP: e.g. 98101 or 35213
• County: e.g. King County, WA or Jefferson Co, AL

Search by Name
• As an alternative to the other search criteria, you can enter a facility’s name or part of a name (e.g. Foss House or Foss) or a 6 digit ID number (e.g. 123-456).

Use More Search Options
• Click on a section heading to view and select additional search criteria from the More Search Options.
• After you have selected your criteria, click the “Search” button to see all results that match all your specified criteria.
• You may choose to use the “Search Area Expand (+)” option above the search results to find other nearby options.
• Please note that you will start back with your original search area if you change your criteria and click the “Search” button again.

Filter by a Specific License Type
• You have the option to filter your search results by license type which can vary in each state.
• Choose from the available licenses from the dropdown box and the page will refresh showing only those facilities with that specific license type.
• Change the dropdown to “All” in order to view all the listings that match your search criteria.

Expand or Narrow my Search Area
• If you would like to see more search results than what is in your current search area, click on “Search Area Expand (+)”. This will double the number of search results found, going out as many miles as necessary to find that many. The farthest distance will be displayed (e.g. “50 options found within 26.7 miles”).
• To see fewer search results, click on “Search Area Narrow (-)”.
• Please note that you will start back with your original search area if you change any criteria and click the “Search” button again.

Reorder My Search Results
• You can reorder your search results in different ways depending on your search criteria.
• Choose an option from the “Sort by” dropdown box to update your search results.
• Please note that just changing the “Sort by” order does not automatically take you back to the first page of the search results.
• You may need to click on “previous” or “next” to find the listings you want.

Find Adult Family Homes
• To find Adult Family Homes, start a Quick Search with location such as Seattle, WA or Pierce Co, WA.
• Then choose “WA AFH” from the License Type dropdown box to show only Adult Family Homes.
• You may want to click “Search Area Expand (+)” to see nearby options.

Find Alzheimer’s Care
• To find facilities that cater to residents with Alzheimer’s, start by entering a location in the Quick Search.
• When you get your search results, click on the “Specialized Care” heading under More Search Options and select “Alzheimer’s Disease”.
• Then click the “Search” button again to view those facilities that have indicated they cater to residents with Alzheimer’s.
• You may want to click “Search Area Expand (+)” to see nearby options.
This same search process applies to other medical conditions such as Parkinson’s, Diabetes and Dementia if the facility provided their data to SNAPforSeniors.
